WHY YOU MAY NEED AN ASBESTOS SURVEY 
CARRIED OUT AT YOUR PREMISES

Since 2004 legislation came into force whereby non-domestic properties must be assessed for asbestos.  In 2006 Regulation 4 can into force where it is the duty of building owners, tenants and any other parties who have any legal responsibility for the premises to manage the risk from asbestos that may be present in the building. Under Regulation 4 of the Control of Asbestos Regulation 2006 as well as protecting people from exposure to asbestos fibres, you have a legal duty to continue to monitor and manage asbestos.

This is where we come into the picture.  We carry out a site inspection to assess the premises for any asbestos containing materials.  We evaluate the risks and submit an unbiased report on our findings.  We are independent surveyors and therefore are able to give unbiased recommendations as to the management of any asbestos that may be present. 

Our report includes everything required to comply with HSG264, the document published by the Health and Safety Executive

Depending on our findings, you may not need us again.  However, if there is any further asbestos related matters that you need advice on, we are here to help you.
